Mira Costa Musical Ready to 'Shake Up' Audiences

Students of Mira Costa High School's drama department conduct final rehearsals for "All Shook Up," an Elvis Presley inspired musical opening Friday night.

Nearly 100 cast, crew and band members from Mira Costa High School staged a rehearsal for the upcoming musical, "All Shook Up," Monday night.

The jukebox musical features Elvis Presley songs and is loosely based on William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Production started in January and the group is hard at work perfecting the show prior to Friday's opener.

"We've been here from three till about eleven each night," said Kelli Anne Safarik, a senior playing lead character Miss Sandra. "We're getting really hyped up and really excited to put it in front of an audience."
