What's Up: Blood Drive, Free Flu Shots, Mira Costa Drama Production

Sign up online now to donate blood Friday.

Here are five things for your Wednesday and beyond in Manhattan Beach:  

  1. Sign up now to donate blood Friday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. during a Manhattan Beach Middle School/UCLA blood drive. The blood drive will be held in the multi-purpose room at the middle school, and all donors will receive a movie ticket for their participation. Sign up online here.
  2. Join Mayor David Lesser for a casual "Meet, Walk and Chat" Monday at 8 a.m. at Peet's Coffee and Tea, 328 Manhattan Beach Blvd. Details here.
  3. Free flu shots are available Thursday. The Los Angeles County Department of Health will offer free shots for all from 1–4 p.m. Manhattan Beach Unified School District is hosting the clinic. Details here.
