What's Up: Manhattan Village Expansion, New Interim City Manager, MBEF Board Meeting, Holiday Lights

Here are five things for your Tuesday and beyond in Manhattan Beach:  

  1. City Council will continue a public hearing on the proposed redevelopment of Manhattan Village Tuesday during a City Council meeting set from 6-11 p.m. inside council chambers at 1400 Highland Ave. Council could vote on the project, directing staff to draft resolutions the project developer is requesting. Agenda here. Be sure to read "Applicants Proposed Modifications Letter and Plans- November 1, 2013" and "E-mail from Mark Neumann-3500 Sepulveda- dated 11-5-13" to catch the latest news.
  2. At the same meeting, City Council is expected to ratify a contract with interim city manager John Jalili, a Manhattan Beach resident. 
  3. The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation's board will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Call MBEF at 310-303-3342 if interested in attending.
