On January 7, 2014, the City Council gave the Parks and Recreation Commission permission to proceed in researching the feasibility of developing a skateboard park in the City of Manhattan Beach. The Commission has formed an ad-hoc committee to research and discuss funding options, location, design, usage control and operations. The Commission will present the results of their community findings to the City Council for their consideration in June of 2014.
