Health District Looking For Committee Members

The Beach Cities Health District is accepting applications for openings on committees. Terms start July 1.

Manhattan Beach residents may apply to serve on any of three Beach Cities Health District board of directors committees.

Qualified appointed residents will serve two-year terms. Meetings, generally held quarterly, are scheduled for evenings.

Candidates are needed for the Community Health Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Finance Committee.

To apply, complete an application and submit a resume or curriculum vitae by June 3rd. Select candidates will be contacted for an interview. Two-year terms begin July 1.

Applications may also be picked up at the BCHD office on the 3rd floor.

The committee positions are open to residents of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.

It currently offers health and wellness programs, innovative services and facilities that promote health. BCHD Operates AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach, a health and fitness center designed with kids in mind, and the Center for Health & Fitness in Redondo Beach, a comprehensive medically based fitness center.
