It's Time For the Jimmy Surf N' Turf!

The classic event combines two favorite beach sports, surfing and volleyball, on behalf of charities.

Surfing and volleyball combine for the annual Jimmy Surf N' Turf Sunday which gets underway at 8 a.m. on the sand near the Manhattan Beach Pier today.

The event benefits the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation and the Dig 4 Kids Education Foundation.

Locals from the surfing world and beach volleyball have a blast competing for two great causes.

Past winners include Aaron Wachtfogel, the 2010 Manhattan Open Pro-Volleyball Tournament winner; Kelly Zaun, the 2011 Oakley Surf Shop Challenge winner-Team Spyder; Adam Buckley, the 2010 Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race winner; Eric Fonoimoana, the 2000 Olympic Beach Volleyball Gold Medalist and founder of Dig 4 Kids; Jeff Miller, president, Jimmy Miller Foundation and Jay Gleason, Sean Fitzgerald Greg Knoll, Alex Abad, Barry Hill, Casey McGarry and Lilly Snyder.

The event features music, food and fun and spectators are welcome.
