L.A. Kings Gather in MB

The 2012 Stanley Cup champions turn out for a public fundraiser for the Kings Care Foundation.

Los Angeles Kings players helped raise approximately $35,000 for the Kings Care Foundation at a fundraiser Wednesday night.

Held at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, L.A. Kings Captain Dustin Brown joined other players, including Dustin Penner, Kyle Clifford, Brad Richardson, Jarret Stoll, Dwight King, Jordan Nolan and Jake Muzzin [who won the Stanley Cup last year] and alums Jim Fox, Daryl Evans and Ian Turnbull as they mingled with attendees in the hotel's courtyard and on the sky deck.

Thirteen local restaurants, including The Strand House, Rock'N Fish and Darren's from MB, and Hot's Kitchen from Hermosa Beach, offered tastes of their popular dishes.

Dubbed the Taste of the South Bay, the event featured a silent auction and raffles.  

Kings Care Foundation, which has donated more than $6 million in monetary and in-kind support to the community, is a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational and recreational opportunities for youth throughout the greater L.A. area.
