I love the weather, and the schools. The teachers are great. I have two kids in school now.
What did you do today before you came to the pier?
We went to church. We baked bread.
You made bread from scratch? What kind of bread?
It's a Christmas recipe. My dad is visiting here from Kansas, and he brought some ingredients for it. We're baking enough bread to last for the next couple of days.
The ingredients came all the way from Kansas? What's in it?
Cardamom and candied cherries.
Did the kids help make the bread?
Nah, they drew pictures! Now we're just showing my dad the sunset. It's freezing in Kansas, and it's his first visit here. We're lucky we got good weather.
Hanging out on the pier with your family, watching the sunset - now that's not a bad substitute for the Super Bowl.
