1930 WWI Flick Screens This Weekend

The Academy Award-winning World War I film, All Quiet on the Western Front, will screen Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Old Town Music Hall, 140 Richmond St., El Segundo.

Considered one of the most powerful epic ever made, the film won an Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director.

"With themes that remain relevant even today, All Quiet on the Western Front strongly deserves its place in cinema history as a true classic," according to the venue's website. "Lewis Milestone’s direction is pure artistry and the cinematography is breathtaking." 

In addition, film-goers will be treated to music played on the "Mighty Wurlitzer, a massive 1925 wind-powered pipe organ that has been meticulously preserved," an audience sing along and a comedy short.

The main feature will follow a 15-minute intermission.

Showtimes are 8:15 p.m. Friday; 2:30 and 8:15 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
