Asner to Receive Lifetime Achievement Honor at Sunscreen West Film Festival

The first version of the Florida-based film festival is being held in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo through Sunday.

Ed Asner will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award Saturday at 8 p.m. from the West Coast edition of the Florida-based Sunscreen Film Festival. The presentation will take place at the Arclight Theater, 831 S. Nash St., El Segundo, off Rosecrans Avenue. Asner stars in the film Good Men screening at the festival.

“Mr. Asner has played a number of great characters in his long and storied career," said Festival Director Tony Armer. "He’s highly respected and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank him and honor him at this first West Coast version of Sunscreen.”

Officially, this first West Coast version takes place in "the South Bay area of Los Angeles." Unofficially, that means Manhattan Beach and El Segundo.
