The Women of Lockerbie

The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum presents The Women of Lockerbie, a deeply moving one-act by Deborah Brevoort and directed by Melora Marshall.

Seven years after the death of their son in the Lockerbie plane crash, a couple has come to Scotland to find a way out of the darkness of their grief. Meanwhile, the women of the town fight a desperate battle to take back the clothes that were gathered from the crash, intent on washing them and returning them to the families of the dead.

"This play is seeped in the knowledge of what it takes to move forward after a crisis too deep for words. Woman’s intuition and strength guide us to the unfathomable understanding of being human."

This play about loss and healing takes place at Theatricum Botanicum, located in the heart of beautiful Topanga Canyon. The amphitheater is surrounded by nature, a perfect spot for an afternoon picnic and an evening of incredible theater.
