Shrake, Rattle and Roll: Step Into Nathan's World Sunday

Nathan Shrake, who frequently sings at American Martyrs, is the final free summer concert act in the city's Concerts in the Park series. He's on stage Sunday night.

Manhattan Beach concertgoers are in for some fun Sunday when frequent American Martyrs church singer Nathan Shrake takes the stage in the final summer concert performance of the city's annual Concerts in the Park series.

The actor, singer, dancer will perform acapella songs with doo-wop group The MoonRays, and then deliver his signature smooth vocals on classic tunes by the likes of Journey, The Beach Boys and Michael Jackson.

Shrake will be accompanied by the band that plays on his new EP, "In the Living Room," for the free outdoor concert in Polliwog Park.

Seating is first-come, first-served; blankets, towels and beach chairs [low backs preferred] can be brought, along with picnic fare. Pop-up (open air) tents and umbrellas are allowed in the concert area before and after the concerts; they must be down during the concert.

Dogs, barbecues and wheeled vehicles are not allowed in the concert area.

Polliwog Park is at 1601 Manhattan Beach Boulevard. The concert is staged in the park's amphitheater from 5 to 7 p.m.
