AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER 

Where/When: Deep Roots Garden Center, 201 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach; Saturday, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Why Go: How often do you get to party inside a garden center in spring? Plus, the 20-piece Mira Costa Jazz Band will entertain guests at this special occasion presented by the Neptunian Woman's Club of Manhattan Beach, a philanthropic nonprofit organization established in 1909.

MANHATTAN BEACH JAZZ QUARTET AT LIDO

Where/When: Lido di Manhattan Ristorante & Bar, 1550 Rosecrans Ave., Suite G, Manhattan Beach; Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Romance could be in the air as you enjoy live jazz music and dinner and drinks at this much-loved restaurant. 

Pricing: Free for the music, charge for food and beverages.

 

19TH ANNUAL SANDPIPERS FASHION SHOW & LUNCHEON FEATURING PAMELLA ROLAND

 Where/When: Beverly Wilshire Hotel, 9500 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills; Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: It's a female bonding thing with fashion collections from a New York designer. The event will echo the feeling and excitement of a true New York City fashion show. Sandpipers, established in 1931, is a 100 percent volunteer organization that is dedicated to charitable and philanthropic endeavors in the South Bay.

Pricing: $100, $125 and $150 for general admission, premium and runway seating, respectively, + applicable PayPal fees.
