Blog: Beach Town Charm

Small town charm is reflected in our homes and gardens.

Recently, someone from the Westside was overheard saying, “I moved to the Beach Cities to get away from all the traffic and live somewhere where I can actually find a parking space.” Yes, there is a slower pace in the Beach Cities and perhaps a bit more elbow room. And certainly a beach vibe!

Although the residential lots are more closely spaced as they get closer to the ocean, there remains a visual openness and a small town charm with the small fences that are quite common in our beach community.

Above is a sample of some original beach cottages along with their little front yard fences (one each from Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach).
