Major Intersection Closed For Emergency

Update: The incident causing the closure of Rosecrans and Aviation boulevards has been resolved. Roads have been re-opened.

The intersection of Rosecrans and Aviation boulevards is closed due to an incident emergency responders are dealing with, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department. Traffic is being diverted.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area since all east, west, north and south traffic is not being allowed through the intersection due to a possible bridge jumper.

Traffic at Sepulveda Blvd. is also impacted, according to a tweet.

Service on the Metro Green Line was suspended between the Aviation/LAX and
Hawthorne/Lennox stations due to the investigation, and buses were brought
in to shuttle passengers. Freight train service was also been halted in the
area, according to City News Service.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that a person threatening to
jump from a railroad bridge caused emergency responders to close roads. The person was taken into custody without incident.
