Gun Used in Radio Shack Robbery

Radio Shack employee was held at gunpoint Sunday as a man demanded the store's Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phones, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The suspect, a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’6”- to 5’10” tall, with a medium build and possible acne scarring on his face, fled the store at 1908 North Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after 10:30 a.m. through the back door exit with a duffle bag and backpack full of the stolen cell phones, stated Det. Michael Rosenberger.

Witnesses told police the fleeing man got into the passenger side of an early 2000, silver BMW 328i, with faded paint and possible black rims. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with the hood over his head, dark sweat pants, brown shoes and carrying a brown leather duffle bag and a black backpack. The handgun is described as possibly a black semi-automatic handgun with an external hammer.

The stolen loot of cell phones is collectively valued at $10,000.
