The effects of the crash of an Asiana Airlines jet at San Francisco International Airport were being felt in Los Angeles and other cities with flights diverted to LAX and other airports.

Three international flights bound for SFO have landed at LAX and another two flights are confirmed to divert to LAX through 6 p.m., according to a statement from the LAX Airport Operations Center. Passengers on one flight were to be bused to San Francisco, while the other two flights were due to take off for SFO when they receive clearance, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, the FAA Command Center reported that two runways have reopened at SFO for arrivals only. Five flights, from which requests had earlier come for diversion to LAX, were heading to SFO, according to the LAX statement.

Twenty-two departing flights to SFO were confirmed canceled through this evening, according to Nancy Suey Castle, LAX public relations director.
