Traffic on Manhattan Avenue beginning at 1st Street and continuing to 15th Street will be impacted beginning around 1:30 p.m. when the Manhattan Beach Police Department is handed the Special Olympics Flame of Hope for a run through the city.
The torch will be carried inland on 15th Street to Highland Avenue, then northbound to 45th Street, where it will be handed off to the El Segundo Police Department.
Sgt. Chris Vargas advises drivers to use alternative routes or be patient.
