12 Bars of Fun in Manhattan Beach

The 10th anniversary Manhattan Beach "12 Bars of Xmas" happens Friday, Dec. 9 beginning at 5 p.m. downtown at Rock 'N Fish and ends at midnight at Pancho's where a live band will be playing.

In between are ten stops at ten MB dining/drinking establishments.

12 Bars is "open to everyone and anyone," said participant Paul Franklin, noting that the event was originated "to enjoy the local nightlife of Manhattan Beach, in a fun way, that would gather friends from anywhere, who wanted to celebrate the holidays."

Said Franklin, "We have had well over 100 people show up at any given time throughout the evening and the bars love the 'rush' of people coming in even for the short window of time we are there. It’s all for fun!" 

12 Bars rules are "Do join in at any time! Do bring friends! Do have fun! Don't drink and drive."  

A limited supply of commemorative 2011 10th Anniversary T-shirts will be available for purchase during the activity for $12 each.
