The Beach Cities Health District is one of only five California institutions recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the country's best places to work in the healthcare industry.
The distinction is the second time the Redondo Beach-based health district serving the beach cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach has made the Modern Healthcare top 100 list. In 2011, BCHD ranked 16th for small employers and 75th overall, according to a news brief on the health district's website.
BCHD officials will find out where the organization ranks in the top 100 at a banquet at the end of October.
Healthcare organizations submit entries to Modern Healthcare to be considered in its Best Places to Work in Healthcare list.
This is the sixth year that Modern Healthcare has released the rankings.
