Beckers Bakery Goes Pink to Donate Proceeds for Breast Cancer Research

Baker Todd Becker helps fight breast cancer.

Only a few hours remain in Beckers Bakery's second-annual "Pink Day" when 20 percent of the day's sales will be donated to breast cancer research in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The bakery is open til 6 p.m.

“‘Pink Day’ was inspired by not only the millions of people who have been affected by breast cancer, but by my wife, who is a breast cancer survivor,” Beckers Bakery owner Todd Becker said. “It’s a fun day for us at the shop. I’ve never seen so much pink sugar!”

On Sunday, every baked good in the store—from cookies to cake pops—will be adorned with pink icing, sprinkles, and decorations. Beckers Bakery staff will wear pink in support of the cause, and pink cake will be served to customers.
