Cafe Pierre's Guy Gabriele Dishes on Its Pending Closure and His New Venture

The man behind the South Bay's foray into relaxed French bistro fare rings out the old and rings in the new.

After some 35 years in business, the pending closure of Cafe Pierre in downtown Manhattan Beach will not translate into owner Guy Gabriele leaving the restaurant business anytime soon.

As the Manhattan Beach resident told the Easy Reader, he will launch a new venture with his daughter, successful restaurateur Sylvie, and much of Cafe Pierre's staff intact when Cafe Pierre shutters and a new venture with Chef Michael Fiorelli opens in the same space.
