NBC4 Hires Reporter to Cover Manhattan and Hermosa Beach

The television station looks to "significantly increase the amount of news coverage out of the South Bay" by hiring reporter Hetty Chang, according to a station vice president.

Local news station NBC4 has hired a multimedia journalist to cover the South Bay and Long Beach for its 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts, according to FishbowlLA.

Hetty Chang had previously interned with NBC4—alternately known as NBC Los Angeles or KNBC-TV—in 2011. At NBC4, she will cover the South Bay cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Torrance and Inglewood, as well as Long Beach.

"We are thrilled to welcome back Hetty to NBC4," NBC4 Southern California vice president Todd Mokhtari said in a statement. "She will be a tremendous asset to our newscasts and will significantly increase the amount of news coverage out of the South Bay."
