South Bay Section of the Sierra Club Wilderness Travel Course

On Sunday, November 18 at 9 am South Bay Section of the Sierra Club Wilderness Travel Course (WTC), which runs Wed evenings from Jan 16-March 20, 2013, is sponsoring an introductory hike for prospective students.  It is to Mt Wilson,10 miles and 4,000' gain. Learn about Wilderness Travel Course content and the four field trips.Course subjects include safe mountain travel, navigation including reading a topo map and use of a compass, wilderness first aid. For more information about WTC introductory hike and carpooling from the South Bay, call (310) 990-7643. Driving directions to trailhead: Take I-210 to Baldwin Ave exit, take Baldwin N to Mira Monte. Right to trailhead.
