Make A Difference Day At VITAS Hospice Care

On October 26, Temple Shalom will join thousands of people across the nation reaching out to those in need, less fortunate or in our case, to recognize the care and compassion of Hospice Healthcare Heroes.

Hospice caregivers enter our lives in the most difficult moments. They not only bring medical skills, comfort and care to our loved ones, but they also bring light during a very dark time. On October 26 we will “give back to the caregiver” when we create and fill a Gift bag with treats and small gifts. We will deliver these goodies, along with lunch to VITAS staff during their staff meeting days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 29-31.


HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Creating the gift bags: 5:30pm on Saturday, October 26 at Temple Shalom.

Delivering Lunch and Gift Bags: 11am at ITAS offices, 990 W 190th St., Suite 550 in Torrance on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 29-31.

Donations: Items for the gift bags, gift certificates towards the lunches, or cash to put toward these items are always appreciated.
