About Matthew Satz:
As an artist rooted in conceptualism with an ideology of process rulingover aesthetics - Satz's works have organically evolved into beautiful andunique paintings and sculptures. The works are all interrelated throughcontinued statements specific to the artist and his engagement with arthistory. This approach beckons collectors and art-lovers to witness andsupport an artist's oeuvre consistent in growth, refinement, and trajectory.The works are presented in several mediums and sizes but all very clearlybare the inherent signature of Satz's controlled chaos and collaborationwith time and gravity.
The new "LA WORKS" series introduces the influence of a Californian palettein Satz's work, transforming his ethereal Smoke Paintings into smoggyportraits, and adding bright hues of the west coast's ocean, landscape, andcoastal foliage to his recognizable Smoke, Strands, Strip, and By-ProductPaintings.
