            There will
also be dancing and musical entertainment from DJ Drue, as well as sea life
videos by Aquarium Co-Director Eric Martin. There will be a silent auction with
such items as a Murad gift basket, a family portrait sketch from Melissa Kav,
autographed paraphernalia from music and sports stars, three nights at several
vacation spots, Aqua Salon mani-pedi and other services, a 24” by 36” water
shot by visual artist Bo Bridges, and much more. In addition there will be a
chance to win a 10-foot paddle board, a paddle, and a paddle board lesson that
is being donated by Nikau Kai Waterman Shop at 1300 Highland Avenue and by
Jereme Pitts.

Perhaps most important, the
proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to further the educational activities
of the Aquarium, which benefit school children, high school volunteers, and the
public at large. The Aquarium is located at the end of the Manhattan Beach pier
and is open free to the public from 3:00 p.m. until sunset during the week and
10:00 a.m. to sunset on the weekends. Its mission is to spread awareness about
the ocean and the environment.
