Driving DirectionsPlease join us for a truly amazing evening to benefit the Los Angeles Vocational Academy of the Arts, a new inclusive social employment training model that focuses on "the art of connection" as its guiding principle.
The evening will include a very special musical performance by ROBBY KRIEGER of the legendary rock group THE DOORS, and master percussionist and oud player Hani Naser who has played with Jackson Browne, Santana, and Steve Miller.  Other celebrity guest appearances to be announced. The event will take place at a lovely estate in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood, Mandeville Canyon.  Hosts for this evening will be Les Joseph, Susan Osborne, George Paige andBarbara Hollander.  The monies raised will fund the first LAVAArts film production camp launching this summer with award-winning producer George Paige of GPA Entertainment on the production of "Topanga", a feature-length documentary about Topanga Canyon during the 1960's through the 1980's as examined by the music of the time.   George Paige is the veteran producer of numerous award-winning documentary films including The Doors: Dance on Fire (HBO/Universal Studios), Michael Jackson The Legend Continues (CBS/Showtime) and the mini-series Motown(Showtime) , a chronicle of the history of Berry Gordy and the Stars of Motown including Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, The Tempations and the Four Tops.    For more information on LAVAArts and the Topanga documentary, please click on the link, GET MORE INFORMATION, located at the bottom of the page. 100% of all proceeds directly benefit LAVAArts & Autism Spectrum Integrated Services, a 501(c)3 with the mission to help young adults with autism successfully integrate into their communities.   SUGGESTED donation for this spectacular cause is $500 per person and those that donate that amount or more will receive "Thank You" credits on the Topanga documentary.  For those craving a V.I.P. EXPERIENCE with ROBBY KRIEGER, $2,500 per person will allow a "Meet & Greet" and wine tasting 1-hour prior to event.   The evening will also include HOR D'OEUVERS, LIVE AUCTION with Robby Krieger's own artwork and autographed guitar, autographed drumheads by Hani Naser and Silent Auction by Signature Events.  The LIVE AUCTION will allow those music and die-hard DOORS FANS to bid on an actual guitar jamming session or simply just play the maracas or tambourine on stage with Robby and Hani.   Thank you for supporting this extremely worthwhile cause.
