Miracle of Living Health Education Lecture Series The Diabetes/Kidney Connection

Diabetes mellitus, usually called diabetes, is a disease in which your body does not make enough insulin or cannot use normal amounts of insulin properly. Insulin is a hormone that regulates the amount of sugar in your blood. A high blood sugar level can cause problems in many parts of your body. Advanced diabetes is the most common cause of kidney failure, accounting for nearly 44 percent of new cases. Diabetes can also lead to heart disease, stroke and a host of other problems. Learn how to identify early signs of the disease, and how exercise, diet and weight loss can prevent and even reverse its progression. For more information, please call: 310-517-4711
