JMMF Ocean Therapy Surf Sessions Volunteer Orientation

David and RL Peters are once again opening their home at 4th Street and the Strand in Manhattan Beach to the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation for its annual volunteer orientation on Sunday, June 27.

Join the foundation for an orientation with beer and wine and welcome to our Summer Ocean Therapy Surf Sessions. You do not need to know how to surf to volunteer for JMMF. We are looking for people to help serve snacks and lunch, photograph our surf sessions, spread the word about JMMF, cheer for the children and adults who are learning to surf, and help with communications and donations.

Of course, we are also looking for talented surfers and water people and those who enjoy a nice day at the beach for a great cause! Hope to see you there.

Please RSVP to: mark@jimmymillerfoundation.org

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization #20172191 is dedicated to honoring the life of our inspiration, Jimmy Miller, by supporting the healing of mental and physical illness through surfing and ocean related activities. Through recreational, educational, and mentoring programs, the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation will bring together surfers, educators, therapists, lifeguards and friends to help people affected by mental and physical illness feel the joy and healing power of the ocean and surfing. The Foundation also supports other charities that support the protection, preservation, appreciation and safe enjoyment of the oceans beaches and marine environment. Our mission is to carry on the legacy of Jim's pure love of surfing by showing the ocean's power to heal.
