"The Man Behind the Thread”

One of "The Four Best Tailors in America" right here in our backyard?

Al Ozer was just named one of  “The Four BEST Tailors in America” in the September Issue of Details Magazine. Although he’s performed surgery on a number of my garments, I had never had the pleasure of meeting the “man behind the thread.”  That changed last Sunday (Oct. 9), when one of my favorite local boutiques (& the place that turned me onto him), had a congratulatory meet ‘n greet for him.

Al is a charming man from Turkey who had an unlikely early start to tailoring – he was answering an ad - looking for an apprentice gig in plastics but landed up in a tailor’s shop. Fast forward several decades – he has a shop in America, Lizon Tailors (located on 10905 Venice Blvd.) and is now famous! Go Figure or Go Sew!!

Hi Carole!
Thanks for reading. I do not have any photos of him or his shop. If you click on this link: http://bit.ly/osMHMW - it will at least provide you with Al's business card. Then you can contact him directly for further info. Warmly, Grace
