Santa Claus Arrives in Manhattan Beach Dec. 2

The Manhattan Beach Santa float will travel through different neighborhoods Monday-Friday nights through Dec. 19, weather permitting.

Santa Claus will begin making neighborhood appearances on Monday, Dec. 2 when he arrives on his sleigh with lots of helpers to his first 2013 Manhattan Beach visit.

On that night, his route will start at 19th Street and Ardmore Avenue at 5:30 p.m. From there on, Santa will be out Monday through Friday nights until Dec. 19. Each night, the jolly ol' fellow's route will begin at 5:30 p.m. as he makes his way through a designated neighborhood each night.

Sponsored by Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach with help from community organizations, Santa's nightly rides through town on his sleigh will make mid-block stops to greet youngsters of all ages.

Manhattan Beach police reserves will assist Santa's float entourage. The float and Santa will not go out on rainy nights and missed nights will not be re-scheduled, so be sure to catch Santa at another location.

A large map showing neighborhoods and when they will be visited is online on the Soroptimist website, here.
