The South Bay Show With Guest Jennifer Didlo of AES

We'll be discussing the proposed AES power plant on Thursday on The South Bay Show with guest Jennifer Didlo of AES.

We have a very important program coming up this Thursday at 7 a.m. on The South Bay Show on Blog Talk Radio.

We'll be speaking with Jennifer Didlo, project director of the Southland Redevelopment Team, about the proposed new power plant in Redondo Beach.

Last Thursday, our guest was Redondo Beach Councilman Bill Brand, who is opposed to the new plant. You can listen to that program online.

This is an important topic that will affect the South Bay waterfront for the next 50 years, so be sure to tune in.

Listen to it here live or at your leisure online.

Be mindful, when you listen to this, that there is not enough of a buffer between the proposed AES toxic stacks and therefore not enough area for the toxins to disapate before entering our lungs. No economic or grid supplement argument can justify the risk to our communities health and safety. AES does not own the air we breathe.

Can't upload photos, on this page, of the toxic plume to compliment AES's pretty photo without the giant chemical releasing stacks?

Hi Fred, You should be able to upload photos; I certainly have not disabled it. I do have it set that I must approve photos before they're attached, but that's as a work-around for another issue. By the way, AES did not provide the image above of the older part of the plant. A Patch freelancer took it 2 1/2 years ago when we put together our directory.
