7 Arrested in Connection with Car Burglaries in Manhattan Beach

Police use a stolen cell phone to track the subjects at a house in a nearby city.

Seven Los Angeles area residents were arrested Thursday in connection with the burglary of several locked and unlocked cars in the 2500 block of Poinsettia Ave that morning.

Police were able to track a stolen cell phone to a home in the 400 block of W. Raymond St., Compton, advising Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Compton Station deputies who responded to the location and detained several people who were inside and outside of a home, said Sgt. Paul Ford of the Manhattan Beach Police Department Friday.

Manhattan Beach detectives took over the investigation once they arrived, arresting six men and one woman. All of the reported stolen property was recovered, said Ford.
