Arsonist Sets Fires on Campus of Manhattan Beach School

A lone male is seen on surveillance footage setting the fires.

Six fires were set on the campus of Robinson Elementary Drive Sunday morning, and police are looking for the arsonist who can be seen on surveillance video, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Most of the fires burned for a short amount of time, however, the suspect successfully set fire to a bulletin board just outside a classroom, which burned for approximately five minutes, and tried to start a large fire on school grounds. In the video, the man is seen sitting on a school bench, watching a fire burn.

Police describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic man, 18-35 years old, 5’5-6’0 with a medium build, dark hair, and wearing unknown colored clothing.
