Burglars, Thieves Strike; Police Arrest Two

Crooks take wallet, iPod, bike, skateboards and headphones, according to a Manhattan Beach Police Department report.

Burglars and thieves recently struck in Manhattan Beach neighborhoods, according to a police report from the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

In one instance, a traffic stop at 3:52 a.m. near Ardmore Avenue and 17th Street resulted in two arrests for possession of stolen property taken from a vehicle parked at Ross Manhattan Terrace.

Other incidents involved unlocked vehicles, an open garage and skateboards left in a yard.

Two unlocked vehicles on Poinsettia Avenue in the Tree Section were hit by burglars who stole an iPod and wallet from the center console of one car in the 2900 block of N. Poinsettia sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 3:52 a.m. on Nov. 17 and others who took two headphones from the glove compartment of the other vehicle between 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 3:52 a.m. on Nov. 17 in the 3100 block of N. Poinsettia Avenue, according to the report.

The two skateboards were taken between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 1800 block of Wendy Way.

And sometime between 11 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 17, a bicycle was stolen from an open garage in the 400 block of 21st Street.
