Burglars Need Little Time to Break-In, Snag Laptop, Tablets, Cell Phone

Burglars steal car, jewelry, gift cards, electronics and more in recent Manhattan Beach residential break-ins.

Burglars broke into three Manhattan Beach homes recently, with one break-in taking only 10 minutes to smash a bedroom window and steal a car and jewelry, according to police.

The burglary happened on Wednesday, Nov. 27 between 10:04 and 10:14 a.m. in the 1500 block of N. Poinsettia Ave.

In a Monday, Dec. 2 incident, a suspect entered a home in the 1800 block of 3rd Street via an unlocked side door and stole a laptop, two tablets (Barnes & Noble Nook & Google Nexus 7) and a cell phone. The burglary took place 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, a burglar needed only 30 minutes to remove a window in the 500 block of Rosecrans Ave. and steal electronic items and gift cards. The burglary happened between 6:10 and 6:40 p.m.
