Caregiver in 'Hoodie' Prompts Helicopter, K9 Search

A caregiver who looked a bit suspicious caused an all-out search for a possible burglar Monday night, said Sgt. Steve Kitsios of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

A resident who saw a man in a grey hooded sweatshirt jump a fence flagged down police to report what he'd seen, launching a search that included an overhead helicopter and K9 unit in the 800 block of Eighth St., he said.

"It was all a big, big nothing," said Kitsios.
