'Tastes Like Hate' Painted on Wall at Chick-fil-A

The gay male artist from Hollywood spray painted the words on a Torrance Chick-fil-A to protest remarks made by the chain's President Dan Cathy, the son of company founder S. Truett Cathy. What do you think of all of this?

Graffiti showed up this morning on a Chick-fil-A store wall in Torrance just across the street from the South Bay Galleria shopping center.

A gay man has stepped forward to take responsibility; Torrance police have increased patrols around the three Chick-fil-A locations in the city.

Chick-fil-A has drawn support and outrage over President Dan Cathy's remarks.

Redondo Beach Patch has coverage of the situation in Torrance.

I think the chick-fil-a President should be voicing his views about chicken and soda pop, not politics and religion.

Last thing I heard, we have free speech in this country. Since when is it so offensive to disagree?

If Straight couples would stop having GAY babies, do you think he shut his Mormon mouth?

Old peoples prefrontal cortex slowly loses the control over brain regions responsible for social behavior thus they become more and more socially uninhibited. Senility may also play a role. Sad but common story.

It was great to support Chick Fil A this last Wed. The gay movement and their in your face (no pun intended) attitude will eventually destroy them. Can't wait for that day.

I have no time for right wing "religious" bigots. I would never have set foot in a Chick-Fil-A before this latest kerfuffle. This only reinforces my dislike of Mr. Cathy and all of his pronouncements.
Always Right August 4, 2012 at 01:44 pm
That's OK, that is your right. Your comment just reinforces my dislike for the left. I guess it's only free speech when the left says something. The only good thing about progressive democrats is eventually they die.

1. Mr. Cathy is not Mormon.
2. Mr. Cathy has the right to freedom of speech. So does the man who graffiti'd the building. 3. This graffiti is not freedom of speech, it's destruction of property.

While some of you think you're supporting the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution, you might want to know the hate groups and bigoted causes you're dollars are going to when you bite into the Chick-fil-A sandwich you just bought...
The company, which was founded in 1946, and uses the tagline ”Eat mor chikin” in its advertising, “donated over $3 million to organizations like the Family Research Council and Exodus International between 2003 and 2009. In 2010 alone, Chick-fil-A donated over $1.9 million to anti-gay causes, more than any other year for which public records are available,” according to a report released today by Equality Matters, a part of Media Matters. Some of the other anti-gay organizations and hate groups Chick-Fil-A’s money has supported include Marriage & Family Foundation, Fellowship Of Christian Athletes, and the Georgia Family Council. The Family Research Council (FRC), mentioned above, is a certified anti-gay hate group.

It does taste like hate with a double side of ignorance and fear. I do not align with Cathy's opinions, but as a proud American, a veteran and a mother, I absolutely support the freedom of speech as well as civil rights for all people, having served my country in the name of such constitutional human principles. I agree graffiti in that context is not protected, but brave of such a protester to come forward when he could have stayed anonymous. I wish more corporate heads would express their opinions, ignorant or otherwise on social issues, so we can know clearly what other stores to support or avoid as a matter of informed choice.

The man was asked a questioned and he answered with his beliefs. Does that mean he should have his life and the lives of all those franchise owners ruined..I say NO. I don't want my right to free speech taken away and no one else should either. He never said I don't like gay people and won't serve them in my restaurant..he believes in a marriage between a man and woman and there is nothing wrong with that.

Good for them !!!! I donated as well. Who certified them as being a hate group? Some pro gay organization I imagine. I'll continue to support Cick fil A and Mr Cathy. Not a single thing that he has done can lead you to anything hateful. The hate is coming from the other side for positive sure. Chick fil A is the winner here.

Not to worry Lorie. Mr Cathy and Chick fil A will be just fine. So many lies from the other side. You are correct, he has never said anything negative about gay people. He simply stated his views on marriage being between a man and a woman. Long live Mr Cathy, his views and his wonderful chain of restaurants.
