Door Knockers Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary

Manhattan Beach Police apprehend two subjects after the two make contact with a minor.

Two subjects who entered an enclosed front patio, knocked on a door and asked the minor who answered if her mom was home and where the beach was were later arrested by police on suspicion of burglary, prowling and for providing false information to a police officer, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The incident happened on Sept. 6 in the 2200 block of North Ardmore Avenue around 3:54 p.m.

Police report the subjects "seemed surprised that someone was there" when the minor opened the door.

Manhattan Beach police later located the subjects and made the arrests.

Police want residents and community members to call them when they see or experience anything that doesn't look or sound right in the city. You may always call 9-1-1. Police dispatch can also be contacted by calling (310) 545-4566.
