Door-Knock Burglary Suspects Identified

Two Los Angeles residents were arrested in Manhattan Beach on charges including suspicion of burglary, prowling and for providing false information to a peace officer.

Anthony Swink, 30, and Kensharra Shanay Humphrey, 22, were located in the 300 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard after police received a call reporting two suspicious subjects who knocked on the front door of a residence in the 2200 block of North Ardmore Avenue on Friday, Sept. 6.

The two entered an enclosed front patio to do so and when a minor answered the door, asked if her mom was home and where the beach was, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department..

Police said the subjects "seemed surprised that someone was there" when the minor opened the door.

Police want residents and community members to call them when they see or experience anything that doesn't look or sound right in the city. You may always call 9-1-1. Police dispatch can also be contacted by calling (310) 545-4566.
