Fire Department Responds to Call at Skechers on Sepulveda

The Manhattan Beach Fire Department makes a visit to Skechers. Find out why.

The Manhattan Beach Fire Department responded to a call at a Skechers office building Monday around 1 p.m., said Frank Chiella, battalion chief.

When the fire department arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from the underground parking structure where Skechers holds barbecues, he said. Chiella said there was no fire by the time the fire crew got to the scene at 330 South Sepulveda Boulevard. The incident, which Chiella believed was a flare-up on the barbecue, did not cause any damage.
