Grenade on MB Blvd. Brings Out Bomb Squad

The device is found just outside the 99 Cents Only store at Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Inglewood Avenue.

Redondo Beach police summoned the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department bomb squad after receiving a report of a round, green hand grenade with its pin missing sitting atop a recycling box at the entrance to the 99 Cents Only store, according to Sgt. Shawn Freeman, a spokesman for the Redondo Beach Police Department.
