Gun Used in Robbery Attempt at South Bay Gold

Three suspects flee the scene in a black Chrysler. Do you know anything about this crime?

Police are looking for three individuals who attempted to rob South Bay Gold Monday around 10:50 a.m., said Manhattan Beach Police Detective Michael Rosenberger. The store is located at the corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Marine Avenue.

One of the suspects pointed a firearm at store staff who were able to hit the silent alarm button. Seeing that, the suspects then fled in a black Chrysler, said Det. Rosenberger.

The suspect who had the gun is said to be a black male, 25-26 years old; he wore a black suit. The second suspect is a black male who is taller and thinner than the first suspect, about the same age; he wore a black suit and baseball cap. The third suspect is a black female, 23-25 years old; she wore a tank top and skirt.

The suspects did not take anything from the store. MBPD is looking into several pieces of evidence, said Det. Rosenberger.
