Man Allegedly Exposes Himself to Female Shopper

Police ask for information about a man who is suspected of masturbating in front of a Target customer.

Police are looking for information about a man who allegedly exposed himself to a female shopper at the Target store on Sepulveda Boulevard around noon March 25.

A shopper said the man made a comment to her as they passed each other in the laundry detergent aisle.

"You are really pretty," the man reportedly said as he continued walking.

The woman told police that seconds later, the man turned around and stood in front of her shopping cart. He then pulled down his shorts and began masturbating, she said.

The woman screamed, causing the man to run through the aisle and toward the store's exit.

The suspect is described by police as a white male approximately 38-40 years old with medium-length brown hair and a mustache. He is about 5-feet 7-inches tall and heavy-set. He was wearing sunglasses, a tan T-shirt, dark shorts and a black necklace.

The alleged indecent exposure incident is the second one in slightly more than a month. Manhattan Beach Police Off. Stephanie Martin said Thursday that the two suspected incidents are unrelated and called the description of the suspects in each case "completely different."

Anyone with information on the alleged Target incident or a possible suspect is encouraged to call Manhattan Beach Police Det. Jason Knickerbocker at 310-802-5131.
