Michael Dyer, 29, of Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 'cleaning lady' at his , Hermosa Beach Police announced Monday.

The victim, who works as a cleaning person at a building where Dyer works, told police and her employer that she was offered money by the suspect for alleged sexual acts, according to an HBPD statement.

The victim, whose name was not released (customary in alleged sex cases), told police she repeatedly rejected Dyer's offers and was then allegedly verbally and physically threatened by him, according to the statement by HBPD.

As the victim attempted to leave, Dyer allegedly followed her into a restroom and locked the door to prevent her from escaping, according to the police statement.

Police said that the victim managed to escape and subsequently contacted her employer and HBPD for assistance.

After detectives responded to the call, the suspect was positively identified by the victim, transported to HBPD jail and booked on a charge of sexual battery.

"Police did not disclose the name of Dyer's employer, but Dyer wrote on his Facebook site that he is a senior web developer at HYFN, a mobile and social app development company.

A spokesman for HYFN said Dyer was employed at the company for two weeks and has been fired. The company does not condone his behavior, the spokesman said.

He previously worked from December 2011 to April 2012 as a senior front-end developer at Dealer.com in Manhattan Beach.

Dyer's Facebook entries indicate he frequents beach cities' bars."
