Man Walks into Manhattan Beach Home (Not His), Drives off with Car (Not His)

A local resident is missing a gray, four-door Acura TL.

Manhattan Beach police today sought a cat burglar who got into a home through an unlocked garage door and took a purse containing the keys to a gray, four-door Acura TL that he drove away in.

The crime at a home in the 400 block of 23rd Place occurred about 3:30 a.m. Monday, Manhattan Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Martin said.

The car is a 2005 model, but police did not make available license information.

Police only got a vague description of the man -- white with short brown hair, wearing light-colored jeans and a dark shirt.

Anyone with information on the burglar or the whereabouts of the car was asked to call  Det. Shawn Thompson at (310) 802-5124.
