Manhattan Beach PD Hunt, Find a Suspected Auto Thief

The search was aided by a helicopter and police dogs. Ultimately, a resident pointed the way.

UPDATE at 10:13 p.m.  

At 8:30 p.m., a resident called in a suspcious person in the 1400  block of 10th Street. He was arrested and taken into custody. Police believe him to be the person they were searching for earlier in the evening.

UPDATE at 7:24 p.m. 

Manhattan Beach police just announced the search is over. "The incident has concluded in the area of MBB to Sepulveda and Meadows to Sepulveda. An investigation is ongoing."

Police are tracking down an automobile thief suspect, according to an advisory just issued by the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The search area includes Manhattan Beach Boulevard to Sepulveda and Meadows to Sepulveda.

Police are using a helicopter and police dogs in the search.
