Manhattan Beach P.D.: Lock Your Doors

A recent burglary where the thief just walked right in gave officers cause to send out this news release.

From a Manhattan Beach Police Department press release:

At approximately 5:10a.m. on April 7, 2014, officers from Manhattan Beach Police Department responded to a report of a residential burglary at a home on Fairway Drive, in the Manhattan Village Community.

The homeowner indicated that sometime overnight between April 6th and early April 7th, someone entered his home through an unlocked rear door while he slept. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed various items (money, credit cards, camera, jewelry and papers) from several rooms of the residence. The suspect(s) also entered the victim’s garage and rummaged through an unlocked vehicle.

Manhattan Beach Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are currently investigating this crime.
