Manhattan Beach PD Needs Your Help Identifying Burglars

VIDEO: The suspects are caught on tape. Do you recognize them?

Manhattan Beach police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects caught on videotape after burglarizing a home in the 700 block of Crest Drive.

The incident took place last summer. Residents of the targeted home had left the house about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 18 for the day. Upon their return, they found the front door pried open and the home “ransacked,” according to a release from the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Items taken from the home include jewelry and cash, the release states.

Surveillance video show the suspects wore surgical masks. They were seen walking from the location between 3-3:30 p.m., one of them carrying a black plastic bag.

The video also shows a vehicle, a silver 2012 or 2013 Kia Sportage AWD police believe was the getaway car.

Here are the descriptions of the two suspects:

  • Male White or Hispanic, 25-30yrs, 5’5 - 5’7, slim build, black capri-type pants, black sleeveless  shirt w/white stripes and black hat (later seen wearing a surgical mask and carrying trash bag)
  • Male White or Hispanic, 40+ yrs, 5’8 - 5’10, medium build, black pants, black t-shirt, light-colored hat, black gloves and surgical mask
